The internet is a powerful and wonderful tool but information is varied in quality and content. The information on this site is a slow work in progress but does have information on page on nicotinamide and glaucoma and on angle closure.
The glaucomas are the second most common cause of preventable blindness in the world. Our group have investigated public health initiatives, economic modeling, care provision pathways, co-management and improved surgical interventions.
My research group has undertaken public health initiatives in UK and Africa tailored for specific communities. We are working with the West African College of Surgeons to develop sub-specialist training throughout West Africa and training local trainers to deliver that.
Glaucoma is a condition that requires regular review and management.
